Manchester United star avoids jail sentence
Manchester United’s new recruit Alexis Sanchez has been handed a 16-month suspended prison sentence for a tax fraud issue.
During his stint at Barcelona, Sanchez defrauded Spanish tax authorities of £900,000 from image rights, and admitted to the same later on.

To avoid paying on his image rights in 2012-2013, he opened up a Maltese company that goes by the name of Numidia Trading. The lawyer who helped Javier Hernandez recover from a similar case also represented Sanchez in this issue.
If he doesn’t commit the same crime in the next 24 months, he will avoid a jail term but has been fined £525,000, including paying back to the authorities.
