Mourinho chasing right-back Aurier
Manchester United have stepped up their pursuit of PSG right-back Serge Aurier.
The Ivory Coast defender has been tracked for a while by the club, as manager Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his currently leaky defence.
It’s thought Aurier was watched in action playing for his country this week by United scouts, as the Ivory Coast took on France.
He has a potential price tag of £18million.
This comes after Aurier’s former Ivory Coast boss Sabri Lamouchi said he believed that the defender would walk into some of the top teams in the Premier League.
He told L’Equipe: “If you were to put him tomorrow in Arsenal’s, Chelsea’s or Manchester United’s team, he would start.
“An explosive, powerful and quick full-back is exceptional, there aren’t many on the market. He’s not at his best yet, either.”
