Manchester United have been told by AS Monaco that if they want to sign Radamel Falcao on a permanent deal, they would have to pay a whopping £74million.

The Red Devils landed the biggest deal on transfer deadline day when they announced the loan-signing of Falcao for the rest of the season, with a view to making it permanent next Summer.

However, United have been told by the French side that they would have to pay around £74m in order to land the Colombian on a permanent deal.

Louis Van Gaal’s side paid Monaco £6m in order to secure the striker on loan for the season, and is reportedly paying a massive £350k-a-week contract, meaning they have already paid £24m for the 28-year-old.

According to reports, Monaco will then want a further £50m in order to sell Falcao permanently, taking the grand total to £74m.
