Winger doesn’t want FC Barcelona move

Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus has ruled out a possible move to Spanish giants FC Barcelona, alerting several Premier League teams.

The German international is widely expected to leave Dortmund in the near future, with a move possibly occurring this summer. However, according to reports in Spain, he is not interested in join Barca.

Competition for Places

Reus has just seen the Catalan club sign Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid, who will arrive in January after their transfer embargo is lifted, and they’ve also given Pedro a new long-term contract.

With that in mind, Reus has reportedly decided not to contemplate the Nou Camp as a possible destination for his future, alerting four Premier League teams.

The 26-year-old is aware of the competition at Barca and reports in Spain have claimed that it’s the major reason behind Reus not wanting to move to the Catalan side, along with their embargo meaning he wouldn’t be able to sign officially until January.

Premier League Interest

Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have all shown prior interest in the winger and could all launch formal bids if Reus does choose to leave Dortmund.

This news will come as a huge boost to the English quartet, who have all shown interest in Reus in the past, but as of yet, no formal bids or enquiries have been launched from any team.

It was reported that Reus was close to joining Arsenal last season, but an injury scampered the move and The Gunners eventually chose to sign Alexis Sanchez instead.
