Marcus Rashford Deemed ‘Untouchable’ By Mourinho

Jose Mourinho took to the press and laid praise towards Marcus Rashford, branding him as ‘untouchable’. Is it a warning for potential suitors or just a simple acknowledgement of youngster’s hard work?

The Portuguese tactician was quoted, “Marcus is untouchable. He gives absolutely everything and that’s what I demand from players. I’m always pleased because he always plays to his limit. He’s fantastic in terms of his contribution to the team.”

The Red Devils are still way off the top four standings, registering yet another loss against Valencia in the UEFA Champions League this week. The team has been highly inconsistent of late, drawing criticism from fans and the media.

Mourinho’s stay at Old Trafford has mostly been a rough ride and the current season is not casting a favourable light on him. It is refreshing to see the former Galactico boss supporting his own players rather than getting into public spats.

Rashford has been decent on the pitch this season, scoring 4 and laying out 5 assists in 19 appearances. However, he is still in the development phase and could use more consistent minutes on the pitch.

United as a whole need to figure a working system given the talent they have acquired over the years.
