Marcus Rashford insists Manchester United will be aiming for a win when they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool.

United are currently battling with a number of injury issues and the likes of Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez will be unavailable for this big ticket clash. Also, the unavailability of Victor Lindelof would be a big disadvantage for the Red Devils as the Swedish has been their most consistent performer.

United are currently struggling in the sixth position while Liverpool are relishing their position at the top. Marcus Rashford has been quite impressive in the last few games and Jose Mourinho has already confirmed the United academy product will start the match.

Rashford said, “We don’t go there as underdogs, I think we go there to win the game, like any game.

“But they are a good team, the intensity they play at makes the game difficult, but we have to match that and try to improve it. But I think it is important to focus on us, and see how we can hurt them, and score some goals.”

On being asked about Jose Mourinho the English international answered, “I think he’s a bit different, like we all are leading up to these games. It has a special buzz and excitement, and as people we can’t hide that.

“But he’s a winner, you know, so leading up to the game he’s just thinking about winning, how are we going to win, and what we are going to do to win the game, because the three points is what matters.”
