Liverpool, along with Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid have joined in on the race for Belgian winger, Thorgan Hazard.
The 25-year-old has hit a blistering run of form this season with Borussia Mönchengladbach, scoring 11 and furthering 7 assists in 16 games so far. With just 18 months left on his current deal, it was only imminent for the European big guns to come sniffing around.
Thorgan Hazard is the younger sibling of Premier League sensation and Chelsea winger, Eden Hazard. Although not of the same talent pool as his older brother, it will be interesting to see the two pitted against each other in the same league.
According to journalist, Jonathan Lange, the player himself has not expressed interest in leaving the Bundesliga club and neither has Borussia agreed to any offers yet. With just weeks left into the January transfer window, Jurgen Klopp might still be weighing his options.
Liverpool already have a talented front three of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. They added Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer to serve as a backup and the move has worked tremendously well so far. Adding Hazard into the mix might not be the most lucrative move since he will not be an obvious upgrade over any of the mentioned names.
