Liverpool Summer signing, Mario Balotelli, has reportedly contacted his former-club, Inter Milan, to try and negotiate a loan-deal until the end of the season.

The controversial Italian started his career back at Inter when Roberto Mancini was boss, and now the former-Manchester City manager is back at the helm at the San Siro, the 24-year-old striker is keen on reuniting with him for six months.

Balotelli has struggled since his ÂŁ16million move from AC Milan in the Summer, failing to score a single Premier League goal, and according to reports, he has already contacted Inter about potentially organising a loan-deal until the end of the season.

Brendan Rodgers commented on the striker’s future after the club’s 1-0 victory away at Burnley, and he stated that the Italian may have to get used to being a substitute and making an impact from the bench, rathern than being a regular starter.

Rodgers has been playing Raheem Sterling up front in recent weeks and after scoring the only goal at Turf Moor, it looks likely that he may remain in the starting line-up as the lone striker.

Reports in Italy are claiming a loan deal could be arranged in January, and Inter could decide to make it a permanent one come the Summer.
