Lyon star Memphis Depay has said that he wants to move to Real Madrid in the summer transfer market. He also said that Lyon is not a club big enough to be included among the top five clubs in Europe and has also mentioned Chelsea as one of his preferred destinations where he wants to move in the future.
Speaking to the Dutch magazine Helden, the former Manchester United ace expressed his desire to move to Real Madrid and Chelsea, along with Manchester City, Bayern Munich or Paris Saint Germain. He said, “I want a new transfer to a top-level club this summer. Lyon is a big club but it’s not one of the five best in Europe.”
He added, “I want to go to a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich. I want to go to a city that suits me and a club that suits me, to a team that really wants to play football. I always talk about Real Madrid, a royal club. White and gold shirts.”
However, the player has also said that despite his desire to be at any of the aforementioned clubs next summer, he is focussed on his duties at his current club Lyon, who are set to take on PSG in their next outing.
