Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil, has dealt the fans even more bad news stating that he will be out for a further seven weeks.
The German international, who heard a crack in his knee during the game against Chelsea, was originally ruled out for 12-weeks, but after tests, Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, revealed he would only likely miss six.
However, Ozil has commented on his recovery and he has admitted that he’s still seven weeks away from full returning.
‘I have already been out for five weeks and will be out for another seven weeks,’ said Ozil.
‘That is a really long time but that is the way it is in football sometimes. My head is held high and we look forward.’
That means the playmaker is likely to make his return in the New Year.
