Middlesbrough loan Bamford

Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Chelsea forward Patrick Bamford on a season long loan, the Championship club have confirmed. 

Bamford, aged 20 will spend the full season at the Riverside, as Aitor Karanka looks to build a squad capable of challenging for a promotion spot. 

The highly rated centre forward spent the whole of last season on loan, spending the first half of it at League One side MK Dons, where he netted 17 goals in a successful spell with the Buckinghamshire club. 

Bamford then stepped up to the Championship with Derby County, where he scored eight goals in 21 games for the Rams, helping them to the play-off final in the process. 

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is a known fan of the Grantham born forward, who will be looking to gain more valuble loan experience, to try and force his way up the pecking order at Stamford Bridge next season.
