According to Turkish newspaper Amk Spor Gazetesi, Ba, who only joined Besiktas over the summer, would prefer a move to Italy over a return to the Premier League.

The Senegalese striker left Chelsea for ÂŁ6m and has been in good form for the Turkish side, netting 12 times in 15 appearances.

Ba’s prolific scoring rate in Turkey has attracted attention from a number of European clubs already and following reports that Liverpool were interested in bringing the forward back to England, it now seems Milan have taken the lead.

Reports suggest that the San Siro club have already been in talks with Ba’s agents over a move either in January or next summer.

The 29 year-old has not yet confirmed where his future lies but sources close to the player claim he does want to challenge himslef in Europe’s top leagues again.
