The Egypt International wants to win more trophies with the club

Since joining Liverpool from Roma for an initial fee of around £35 million last summer, Mohamed Salah has massively exceeded all expectations. He has been outstanding for the Reds, scoring 43 goals in all competitions this season and inspired his team to reach the Champions League final where they will face Real Madrid.

The Egypt International is the current leading Premier League goalscorer and was recognized for his incredible campaign by claiming a Player of the Season double at Liverpool’s end-of-campaign awards on Thursday.

The 25 year old’s outstanding form this season has seen him linked to Real Madrid and according to reports Florentino Perez has made his priority to sign the star this summer. Though the Premier League giants have made clear they want to keep hold of their player this summer.

Salah who is contracted with the club until 2022, insists his future is at the Premier League club and wants to win more trophies with them.

“I’m very happy here, everything is fine,” Salah told reporters as quoted by Goal.com

“Of course I have got ambitions for the future with Liverpool. As you can see we had a great season, now we are in the Champions League final and everyone is excited.

“It is just the start. This is my first year here and it is the same for some other players. It is just the beginning.

Salah stated the Reds have already shown they can compete with, and beat, Europe’s best.

“We are very comfortable we will be playing in the Champions League next season,” the former Roma star said.

“On the way to the final we beat top teams like Manchester City and Roma. It is just the beginning.

“We want to qualify for the Champions League next season and then we want to win the Champions League final. We will play to win against Real Madrid.”
