Mourinho won’t loan out Zouma

Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, wants to keep Kurt Zouma at the club amid reports suggesting he could be loaned out in January.

The young centre-back, who suffered a nasty injury in the midweek game against Derby County, has struggled to break into the first-team due to the partnership of John Terry and Gary Cahill, but a loan-move away in the New Year is not on the cards.

Reports suggested last night that Turkish side, Besiktas, could take the defender on loan for six months from January until the end of the season in order to give him regular first-team football, but according to sources close to the club, those reports are rubbish and false.

The 20-year-old is still firmly seen as a back-up, but with the busy schedule just around the corner and the introduction of the FA Cup still to come, Mourinho is keen to keep as any figures at the club as possible in order to deal with the hectic fixture list.
