Arsenal are reportedly ‘very keen’ on signing Bayern Munich winger, Xheden Shaqiri, and will offer up to £18million for the Swiss international.
After having a superb World Cup in Brazil for Switzerland, Shaqiri was strongly linked with a move away from Munich due to lack of first-team opportunities at the club.
However, no move away materialised, despite being strongly linked with Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite the World Cup displays, Shaqiri has still failed to break into Pepe Guardiola’s first-team in Munich, and the 23-year-old has now been told by the club that he can leave in the New Year if an £18m offer is tabled.
Shaqiri has been strongly linked with the Premier League since last January, when Liverpool were desperate to sign him, but it’s believed now that Arsenal and Spurs are in pole position due to the winger wanting to live in London.
