David Moyes has claimed that even Sir Alex Ferguson would not have done better than him at Manchester United this season. He made this claim on the same day that Jose Mourinho said Fergie could not be held responsible for what has gone on since his retirement.
As Manchester United played Aston Villa today, A banner flew over Old Trafford just before the game began criticising the current Red Devils cheif. But the defiant boss claimed it just makes him more determined to succeed. Moyes said:
“If Sir Alex were here this year it would be difficult for him as well and I’m sure he would agree. People are aware there is a squad that is ageing, so it would have been a tough season for whoever was in charge of United this year. It could have been the case no matter what.”
