Liverpool could be about to recieve a surprise bid from Italian side Napoli for striker Mario Balotelli in the January transfer window.
Balotelli only joined the Reds this summer, however has so far looked unconvincing infront of goal as he looks to fill the big boots left by Luis Suarez, who depared for Barcelona.
And Napoli boss Rafa Benitez could be the next striker to try and get the best out of the 24 year-old who arguably hasn’t yet lived up to his potential since breaking into the Inter Milan side back in 2007.
No specific price tag for the Italian has been mooted, although Napoli are prepared to spend big on the striker so that they can have a foil for their Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuian.
It is however expected that Liverpool will turn down any deal for Balotelli so that they can give hiim a chance to partner Daniel Sturridge once the England international returns to first team action in the near future.
