New Arsenal signing suffers serious injury in training

Arsenal signing Kim Kallstrom has picked up a back injury during his first ever training session with the club, and early reports believe the Swede could be out for two-three months.

The 31-year-old joined The Gunners only yesterday as a deadline day loan move from Russian side Spartak Moscow, and he was taking part in his first training session with the team this morning, and from it, he has suffered a serious back problem.

Kallstrom was Arsenal’s only deadline day signing after Arsene Wenger failed in capturing a striker for back-up to Olivier Giroud, and the only reason Kallstrom was signed was to cover for injury problems to Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere.

The Swedish international was also signed due to Mathieu Flamini being suspended for three matches after his red card against Southampton, but it now looks like the replacement will be out for even longer.
