Newcastle United look set to secure the services of previous talismanic striker Demba Ba. Ba has been left without a starting spot at Chelsea so far and with competition of Fernando Torres, Romelu Lukaku, Andre Schurrle and Victor Moses, Ba is struggling to get a look in. Alongside this, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has stated his intent to bring in another striker before the transfer window ends, Samuel Eto’o seems a likely capture.
Ba is seeking first team football and would know doubt happily rekindle his partnership with fellow international teammate Papiss Cisse who has struggled to find form recently. Newcastle fans would welcome Ba’s return for much needed firepower and to help improve Cisse’s form.
Demba Ba moved to Chelsea in the January transfer window for £7 million, he had netted an impressive 29 goals in 54 appearances for Newcastle during his spell.
