Manchester United target Nicolas Gaitan insists that his ‘body and heart’ belong at current club Benfica, despite interest also from Monaco.
United have been tracking the Argentine winger for some time now, with fresh reports linking him once again with a move to Old Trafford this summer. However, it is now thought that they have fallen behind Monaco in the race to sign him, with the French side desperate to replace Columbian superstar James Rodriguez.
Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho, who regularly faced up against Gaitan during his days playing for Porto, has urged the Ligue 1 team to sign him.
But Monaco could have to look elsewhere as the player has insisted that he has no wishes to leave this summer.
“I have two years on my contract with Benfica and I hope to honor them,” he told Portuguese channel RTP.
“My body and my heart is here at Benfica always.”
