Norwich City were relegated from the Premier League following a 2-0 home defeat to Arsenal at Carrow Road.

City, how had been on the brink for several weeks succumbed to the humbling defeat, which will see the Norfolk club play in the Skybet Championship last season.

A wonder goal from Aaron Ramsey, followed by a well taken finish from Carl Jenkinson finally sealed Norwich’s fate.

The Canaries, who knew before kick off that a only a huge 17 goal swing could save them, knew their true fate on Wednesday, following Sunderland’s 2-0 win at home to West Bromwich Albion.

Norwich never really got going in the game, and Aaron Ramsey gave the hosts a superb second half lead.

Olivier Giroud chipped a delicious ball to the back post, with Ramsey there to hit a dipping volley with flew past Ruddy into the top corner, after 53 minutes.

Jenkinson made it two nine minutes later, scoring a neat placed effort inside the area.

It is still unclear to see if current manager Neil Adams will be in charge come the start of the Championship season in May, having replaced the sacked Chris Hughton as manager last month.
