Chelsea left it late in Norfolk this afternoon as they saw off Chris Hughton’s Norwich City 3-1 thanks to goals from Oscar, Eden Hazard and Willian.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho:
“When I make a change, the change is always fantastic and the players make it fantastic or make it rubbish – it’s up to them.
“I’m happy for Willian because he is starting with us, he is not 100%. He was injured in the week and the kid made himself available to try to help, and when he came on he gave us a push.”
“[The win] is important and deserved and difficult. So when it’s important, deserved and difficult at the same time, we have only reasons to be very pleased with that. I think in the first half the game was quite easy to kill but we didn’t and in the second half we had a fantastic situation to kill it again and we didn’t.
“When you have chance to do that, you can be in trouble and it happened when they scored. But I looked to my dugout and tried to change the game, and all of them gave an important contribution.”
Chelsea striker Demba Ba:
“I am ready every game and I give everything. I am happy today. I always work hard to be ready when the team needs me. That is what we are here for, especially offensive players, and I am happy I made the assist for Oscar’s first goal.
“For me it is all about giving 100% and showing that you can still be picked for the next game. I gave my best and did everything and when I came off I was happy with my performance.”
Norwich manager Chris Hughton:
“There are lots of positives to take from the game. It is obviously very difficult to take at this moment. We had worked ourselves back into the game after a difficult start to put ourselves in a position where, when we equalised, I did not think we would lose the game.
“I doubt there was anybody watching who did not feel we did not deserve anything from the game.”
