Klopp reportedly big fan of midfielder
Jurgen Klopp could be about to give Nuri Sahin the opportunity to make a sensational return to Anfield.
Sahin first played for the Reds on loan from Real Madrid in 2012.
But the Turkish international made just 12 appearances in his five-month loan spell and returned to Spain in January 2013.
But he was immediately then loaned out to Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund, a switch he made permanent in the summer.
It’s now being reported in Turkey that Klopp wants to reunite with Sahin as he plans to bring in new talent this summer following a squad overhaul. The Reds finished a disappointing 8th in the Premier League and the German boss has been charged with taking them back to the Champions League.
And Sahin is said to be exactly the type of player Klopp is after to reinforce his midfield unit.
The 27-year-old, who was signed by Jose Mourinho at Real and has twice played under Klopp, reportedly has a serious reputation among the top bosses.
