Ligue 1 champions PSG have announced the signing of Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Gueye on a transfer fee of £28 million.
Gueye will sign a four-year contract with the Parisians in a £28 million transfer. Gueye ends a three-year stint with Everton. Since joining the Toffees from Aston Villa, Gueye made 108 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists.
Last season, the 29-year old made 35 appearances across all competitions, providing two assists. He followed the season with an impressive performance for Senegal in the AFCON in Egypt. The midfielder scored the winner in the quarter-final against Benin. Senegal lost the final but Gueye was included in the Team of the Tournament.
Gueye will be the 8th player from Senegal who will play for PSG. The other players include Senegal national team coach Aliou Cisse. With the likes of Marco Verratti already present, the addition Gana Gueye will certainly benefit PSG.
