Manchester United and Chelsea both want to sign Juventus star
Nicolas Anelka believes Juventus star Paul Pogba is worth the £73million valuation The Old Lady have of him.
The French international has quickly become one of the best midfielders in world football and it’s happened after leaving Manchester United for free back in 2012.
Due to a fall-out with Sir Alex Ferguson, Pogba left Old Trafford on a free when his contract expired, and he decided to join the Serie A side, where he’s gone on to win numerous trophies.
After developing into one of the best midfield talents, Pogba has been wanted by several European giants, including Chelsea, United and FC Barcelona.
According to reports, Chelsea had a bid accepted for the midfielder over the summer, but the player snubbed a move to Stamford Bridge.
It’s believed Pogba wants a move to the Nou Camp, and Anelka believes that if a club do pay £73m for him, he would be worth it.
He told Goal: “I think Paul Pogba merits that price.
“He’s a high-class player, and he’s still very young. He can do anything, at any time.
“He’s the kind of player who can win you important matches, and he’ll still get better.
“In two or three years he’ll be in the top five players in the world.”
