Arsenal are ready to sell defender, Per Mertesacker, after a poor campaign for the German.
Fresh off winning the World Cup with Germany, Mertesacker has suffered to continue where he left off last season and has shown form of his debut campaign in England, making several high profile errors.
The German has been heavily criticised throughout the season, including against Liverpool when he ducked out of the way of a cross, leaving Martin Skrtel to head home a last-gasp equaliser.
The latest errors came in midweek against AS Monaco in the Champions League and after being dropped for the Everton game yesterday, it’s believed the centre-back may be on his way out of the club at the end of the season.
Gabriel Paulista came in for Mertesacker and had a fine game alongisde Laurent Koscielny, and it’s believed Arsene Wenger will sell the German if Paulista continues to improve.
