Frenchman Not Happy With Mourinho
Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has attacked Jose Mourinho, labelling him a ‘tyrant’.
Petit believes that Mourinho has revealed his darker side in recent weeks, as the feud between himself and Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro rages on.
Earlier this week, Mourinho was cleared of charges by the FA after Carneiro claimed the Chelsea boss had made discriminatory comments in a press conference.
Carneiro’s position at the club was relegated and she was subsequently forced to leave this week after she and fellow doctor John Fearn ran onto the pitch to treat Eden Hazard.
FA chairman Greg Dyke claimed Mourinho suffered a “failure of his personal judgement and public behaviour” in the events.
Meanwhile Emmanuel Petit, who featured 76 times for the Blues has spoken about his liking for Jose Mourinho but is still appalled by the treatment of Eva Carneiro in the incident.
Petit Slams Mourinho
He said: “I like Jose Mourinho but recently I’ve been under the impression that his darker side has come to the fore.
“He is nebulous, a tyrant.
“It’s a pity because I really like him and I would have liked to play under him. He has this crazy side that I like. He is anti-conformist. He speaks his mind. He has faith in his own methods and ideas. I think of him as a guru.
“Nobody has managed to accomplish what he has done at all the clubs he’s coached.
“People can say that Mourinho is an idiot, he is annoying, a megalomaniac, paranoid or whatever but we need to be honest: he has won at every team he has coached, except for the Champions League during his time at Real Madrid.
“But recently I didn’t like what happened with Eva Carneiro.
“If it had happened privately, if it had been leaked or whatever, I would have accepted it but it was public. Everybody saw it.
“He didn’t hide his insult towards her. It was degrading, insulting, and I can understand why she didn’t want to go back to work.”
