Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic has denied that him and his represtatives met up with Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Reds boss is on the search for a Steven Gerrard replacement, he recently flew to Rome to monitor the progress of Pjanic.
However, rumours circulated that Rodgers went to Italy to discuss a potential ÂŁ37 million move to Anfield with the Bosnian international.
BUT, Pjanic himself played down these rumours when he said: “It’s not time to talk about a transfer, but there has been no contact [with Liverpool]. I am only focused on Roma.”
The 24-year old was rumoured to be swapping Serie A for the Premier League in a deal that would include a ÂŁ160,000-a-week contract.
