Mauricio Pochettino has hailed Tottenham Hotspur’s performance after their win against Watford.

The north London side went back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over the Hornets.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has lauded his players for their performance against Watford in their last match in the Premier League. Spurs went back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over the Hornets, courtesy of two late goals from Hueng Min Son and Fernando Llorente after Craig Cathcart scored the opening goal for Javi Gracia’s side. The north London club are currently on 54 points after this win and are looking to finish their campaign among the top four clubs in the Premier League this season.

Speaking to the club’s official website after the match, the Argentine gaffer said, “Keep going, keep pushing, keep believing – that mentality is so important. A big part of the game is about mentality and the team is showing that mentality.”

He added, “The first half was a little flat. We were in control of the game but we didn’t create too much. Then we showed our character in the second half. It’s a massive win, a massive victory in the way that we won the game in the second half, believing always. I think we fully deserved it. We worked a lot and the effort was fantastic.”

Pochettino concluded, “I’m so happy because we needed to start to feel a victory again and three points are so important to keep us in a very good position in the table.”
