How will the Gunners line-up against Championship side Sheffield Wednesday?

Arsenal are back in action tonight as they travel to Sheffield to take on Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup Fourth Round.

After an impressive run of form, which has seen them beat the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Everton, the Gunners are expected to pick up a routine win this evening at Hillsborough.

However, with several games played over a short period of time, Arsene Wenger may make some changes to his starting XI this evening.

Team Prediction

We already know Petr Cech will be starting in goal due to David Ospina‘s injury, and Wenger has confirmed that the veteran will be starting tonight against Wednesday.

As for the back-four, we believe we may see some changes in Wenger’s selection, with Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal all earning rests.

This sees Mathieu Debuchy, Per Mertesacker and Kieran Gibbs all entering the side, with Gabriel Paulista keeping his spot from the weekend.

Moving onto the midfield, we think things will stay the same with Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla in the centre of the park, but there will be some changes in front of them.

Rests are expected for Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, meaning we could see the inclusion of Joel Campbell and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Theo Walcott could also start from the get-go, but could be used as a winger, with Olivier Giroud starting once again up top.

So SillySeason‘s predicted team in full is: Cech, Debuchy, Mertesacker, Gabriel, Gibbs, Coquelin, Cazorla, Campbell, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Giroud.
