The player was linked with an exit during the summer transfer

Wilfried Zaha came up through the ranks of Crystal Palace and made his senior debut for the club in the 2010-2011 season. He was instrumental in the club’s promotion to the Premier League before joining Manchester United.

But the Ivory Coast International struggled to find his feet at Old Trafford as he found himself out of favour by then manager David Moyes. In the following season he went to Palace on a loan deal before making the move permanent in 2015.

Since then the 25 year old has been the main man for the club, singlehandedly winning many matches for them. He has developed himself as one of the best and most exciting performers in the league.

The Ivorian enjoyed his most productive campaign ever last season, scoring 9 goals and assisting 3 in 29 league appearances despite sidelined for 2 separate spells. His performances helped the club secure the Premier League football as they failed to win a single match in the 9 games he missed.

He signed a new five-year deal last summer worth around £110,000 a week. Despite that he attracted lot of attention from Tottenham and Chelsea throughout this summer and it was suggested that he could leave the club.

However, the winger signed a new 5 year deal and extended his contract until the summer of 2023.

Crystal Palace legend Clinton Morrison believes Zaha has the potential to play for any of the top 4 teams of England. He even insisted that the player can play for either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

“They’ve got a lot of good players and Wilf Zaha is the standout player,” Morrison told Yahoo Sport’s ‘The Football Show’.

“He’s a superstar! I’ve been speaking to him and he said it’s different this season trying to adjust his game. He’s been playing upfront off Benteke, instead of coming from the left and you can see him getting frustrated.

“He’s a top, top player, I believe he could play for one of the top four teams or even Barcelona or Real Madrid. He’s a superstar and when he has the ball at his feet he makes things happen.

“Eventually he’ll leave, but we have to make the most of them while he is there.”
