7 games took place in the Premier League today as Manchester City extend their lead.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool all pick up 3 points. 

 

Chelsea vs Liverpool (12:45)

The Champions came into the game desperate for a result as the speculation over Mourinho’s future continued. Jurgen Klopp on the other hand witnessed his first win as Liverpool boss on Wednesday night, defeating Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup.

Chelsea took the lead when Ramires scored from close range in the 4 minute.The blues would hold on to the lead for 45 minutes until Coutinho scored late into added time in the first half. Another event which Jose thought was unjust against his Chelsea side.

With the game all level it wasn’t till the 74th minute when Liverpool took the lead with Coutinho scoring his second. The victory was confirmed when Benteke scored coming off the bench.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United (3:00)

United have been on poor form recently failing to score in 90 minutes in their last 2 games. A humiliating exit to  Middlesbrough has seen The Red Devils knocked out of the Capital One Cup.  Palace on the other hand are enjoying a good start to the season and are looking to push on.

The game ended 0-0 with Cabaye coming the closest to breaking the deadlock.

Manchester City vs Norwich City (3:00)

Manchester City looked to continue their sensational form this season with a victory or Norwich this afternoon. For everyone expecting the former Champions to score 4 and 5 they were to be disappointed as Norwich performed fantastically.

The deadlock was broken in the 67 minute when Otamendi scored a header from a corner. The lead lasted until the 93rd minute when an error for Joe Hart presented Cameron Jerome  with a chance to score which he duly accepted.

A brilliant result for Norwich was snatched away in the 87th Minute when Sterling was tripped by Russel Martin thus conceding a penalty. To make matters worse Martin was sent off before Yaya Toure converted the spot kick.

Manchester City 2-1 Norwich City

Newcastle vs Stoke (3:00)

Struggling Newcastle welcomed Stoke to the Sports Direct Arena as both teams searched for a win. Jack Butland proved vital for Stoke helping The Potters maintain a clean sheet. An inspired performance enabled Stoke to hang on for a point.

Swansea vs Arsenal (3:00)

Swansea were the only team to beat Arsenal both home and away last season. The Gunners have struggled recording good result against the Swans in recent meetings.

The cup exit on Tuesday didn’t effect Arsenal as the duly pushed Swansea to the side winning 3-0.

Giroud opening the scoring for The Gunners on the 49th minute before Koscielny doubled their lead on the 68th minute.  Joel Campbell slotted the ball in the bottom left corner to make it 3.

Watford vs Westham United (3:00)

Watford faced strong opposition in the Hammers who have been something of an away specialist this season recording wins at the Etihad, Anfield and Emirates.

The Hornets took the lead in the 39th minute when Ighalo scored from close range. The striker then doubled his tally for the game when he scored his second in the 47th minute.

 

Watford 2-0 West Ham United.

West Bromwich Albion vs Leicester City.

At the start of the season this game would of been labelled as a relegation 6 pointer, however Leicester’s sensational start has seen them far from relegation.

West Brom took the lead with Rondon in the 30th minute. The Baggies lead was soon levelled when Mahrez scored in the 54th. Leicester scored again in the 64th minute with Mahrez claiming his second. A Leicester victory wouldn’t be complete without top scorer Jamie Vardy joining in. The former Fleetwood striker scoring in the 77th minute. West Brom did have a compilation goal with Lambert scoring a penalty.

 

Jamie Vardy is the 3 striker to score 8 goals in 8 games. He joins Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Daniel Sturridge.

West Bromwich Albion 2-3 Leicester City.
