Queens Park Rangers are prepared to offer Tottenham Hotspur Loic Remy in exchange for Spurs duo Harry Kane and Andros Townsend, according to The Independent.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp knows the pair well from his days managing Tottenham, and is set to offer the French striker Remy in an ÂŁ8 million deal, in return for the two English players.

Kane broke into the Tottenham first team towards the back end of last season, meanwhile Townsend spent a swift loan spell at Loftus Road during QPR’s relegation campaign, with Townsend impressing between the January- May of 2013.

It is thought that the newly promoted R’s will use Remy as bait to prize the duo to Loftus Road.

Redknapp has also made it clear he wants Remy’s future sorted out sooner rather than later, with the striker scoring 14 goals whilst on loan at Newcastle United last season.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bolster his attacking options, and Remy is holding aspirations of playing European football, having failed a medical ahead of a proposed move to Liverpool last week.

The newly appointed Tottenham boss has made three signings ahead of the new season, with Swansea duo of goalkeeper Michel Vorm and fullback Ben Davies penning a joint deal at White Hart Lane. Young English centre back Eric Dier for Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.

Off-loading two fringe players in return for Remy could very much interest the Argentine former Southampton manager.
