Yaya Toure and other black team-mates in the Manchester City line-up received racist chants during their Champions League match tonight against CSKA Moscow. This has upset the Ivorian and he want’s disciplinary action taken against the Russian side’s fans.

Although the English side beat CSKA Moscow 2-1 after being behind this will be overshadowed by the chants during the match. Whilst in the match the Manchester City midfielder made the chants aware to the referee Ovidiu Hategan.

Yaya Toure said: “It’s very very sad – UEFA has to do something and it would be very nice if they did – we want to stop this and we have to do something”.

“UEFA has to be strong – maybe they need to ban the stadium for a couple of games or for a couple of years”.

“I’m an african player and it’s always so sad when you hear something like that”.

After the game the 30 year old took to twitter to thank the people who have supported him through this.
