Marcus Rashford has revealed what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told him before their massive 5-1 win against Cardiff City.

The new Manchester United manager got his first win in his very first man in charge of the Red Devils.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has revealed what new interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had told him ahead of the match against Cardiff City, which the Red Devils won by a massive margin of 5-1. The young forward opened the scoring for his side with a brilliantly taken free kick that deceived the goalkeeper and went into the net.

Rashford said, “He wants us to be positive on the ball and always look for the gaps and play positive football and that was just the start today. Today was a good start but we will improve and get better at it.”

Another Manchester United star Jesse Lingard, who scored twice in the match against Cardiff, gave his comments on the positive game plan that the Red Devils had as went out to face the Bluebirds. He said, “I think the quick play, the lads played forward very quickly and were positive with ball and we were making runs off the ball the midfield were playing higher and the full backs are higher and we pegged them back and created a lot of chances through that.”

The Red Devils are set to face Huddersfield Town on boxing day in their next outing at Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently stranded in the sixth spot in the league table and would look to better their position as the season progresses.
