Spanish side Real Madrid have given Arsenal a massive boost in their pursuit for a striker, as they are reportedly now willing to loan out Alvaro Morata for the rest of the season.

Morata has been a long-term target for Arsene Wenger and it looked like he was ready to give in after Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that no players would be leaving the Bernabeu this month, but after the striker admitted that a loan move could be on the cards, Ancelotti has now changed his mind it seems.

The player held talks with the club and it is reported that if the deal is right, a potential loan-move could be on the cards.

Wenger is desperate to loan a striker for the rest of the season due to serious injury issues within his squad, but he is not willing to splash the cash this month as he does not know what his side will be like for next season.

According to reports, the plan for Arsenal is to loan a striker this month until the end of the season and then splash the cash on a permanent forward in the Summer, with Diego Costa, Jackson Martinez and Wayne Rooney all on the list.
