The shot-stopper is still a target for the La Liga giants

According to Sky Sports’ Guillem Balague, Real Madrid are ready to trigger David De Gea’s buyout clause in his current Manchester United contract.

The Spaniards attempted to sign the goalkeeper in the previous summer transfer window, but couldn’t strike a deal with United.

However, Balague insists that Los Blancos haven’t given up hope of signing De Gea.

Balague said: “Real Madrid will go for David De Gea again, there is already a buyout clause in his contract at £30million, Real will go for him at that price, that’s for sure.”

“People will question why there is a need to go for De Gea if Keylor Navas is playing so well, but De Gea will be Spain’s number one for the next decade, that’s the quality of ‘keeper they’ll be getting.”
