The European giants will activate his buyback clause

Despite winning the Champions league for the 3rd consecutive time,  Florentino Perez is still keen to improve his squad for the next season after an underwhelming domestic campaign. They lost out the La Liga and Copa Del Rey to Barcelona.

Real Madrid have decided to activate a buy-back clause in the contract of Omar Mascarell, claims Diario Gol .

Mascarell joined the club’s youth system at the age of 17. He made his senior debut for Real Madrid Castilla in 2011 and managed to make 24 appearances during that season. He started the following season with the C team.

The 25 year made his La Liga debut in 2013 after coming on as a substitute for Mesut Ozil. He then went out on a season long loan to Derby County in the following year and again to Sporting de Gijon in 2015.

But the midfielder still struggled for regular game time when he returned from the loan spell and was sold to Eintracht Frankfurt on a 3 year contract in 2016.

The Spaniard has impressed during his stay at the Germany and has been a regular for the team since joining. He has scored 2 goals this season and helped his team to win the DFB-Pokal final against Bayern Munich.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have been impressed by his displays and decided to bring him back to Spain this summer.
