Real Madrid have prepared a shortlist for managerial options if they sack Zidane, and the list spells trouble for Premier League clubs.
Despite almost being in the Champions League final, and La Liga still within reach, there have been many a rumor suggesting that Real Madrid may part company with Zinedine Zidane.
It is being reported that if Real fail to win any major silverware this season, then Zidane will be off, and Los Blancos will look toward one of the Premier League big boys to secure a replacement.
Spanish media outlet Don Balon are reporting that ex-Real boss Jose Mourinho, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, and Antonio Conte of Chelsea are ALL potential targets for the Spanish giants.
Mourinho has managed Real Madrid once before, but is said to have left on a sour note with both players and staff (hard to believe, I know.) but is still undoubtedly a top class manager.
Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp has impressed many fans with his charismatic charm since arriving in Merseyside, though some suggest perhaps his first season with the club has not gone entirely to plan – but with only one season under his belt, Liverpool fans believe Klopp will only improve.
Antonio Conte has been a revelation at Chelsea, since arriving at Stamford Bridge Conte has taken Chelsea from a side finishing 10th in the worst seasons for the club in recent years, to on the verge of once again being crowned Premier League champions – and they’re still in The FA Cup too.
All three of these managers are class members of The Premier League – but if Real Madrid are sniffing around, then we may be about to say goodbye to one of them.
