Real Madrid are prepared to go all out to capture Monaco striker Falcao.
The Colombian is currently on loan at Manchester United and has impressed since arriving on English shores. Real want the former Atletico Madrid frontman so badly, they are preparing to offload Karim Benzema in order to fund the deal.
Liverpool could well benefit if this happens, as they have been favourites for some time to sign 26-year-old Benzema.
The Anfield outfit have struggled at times up front this season and the arrival of the French hitman may be the solution Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is looking for.
Falcao has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu for the last couple of years, and it is reported he is eager for a move to the Spanish capital.
Of course if Falcao does stay at United, it is going to cost them something in the region of £45million to secure him for the long term. United, having already paid out £6million for the loan deal, and with the player reportedly on £350,000-a-week (£18million over the course of the loan), they are going to have to decide if a permanent deal is financially viable. That’s an awful lot of money for a striker who has only scored 3 goals so far this season….but what do we know?
