Spanish club Real Sociedad are reportedly keen to sign defender Nacho Monreal from Arsenal. Sociedad want a replacement for Alvaro Odriozola who was signed by Real Madrid a few days back.
Nacho was one of Arsenal’s top players in what was a highly forgetful season. He made 27 appearances for the club, scoring 5 goals. He was solid at the back and helped the club pull of 10 clean sheets througout the matches that he played.
Some reports claim that Nacho has been approached by the club’s representatives who are confident of a deal getting agreed.
However, Arsenal might not want to sell Nacho considering the fact that he was their best defender last season. Nacho was with the Spanish squad in Russia for the World Cup. However, he did not play a single game for Spain and was on the bench for the entirety of Spain’s campaign which ended in the round of 16 in a penalty shootout defeat to hosts Russia.
