Harry Redknapp has said he would be delighted to have Mohamed Salah at QPR but does not believe the Egyptian winger is available.

QPR sit precariously in the Premier League, only two places above the drop zone with the season just over half way through. Redknapp is keen to ease the goal-scoring burden on star striker Charlie Austin having already secured Mauro Zarate on a sixth month loan deal.

When asked if he’d take Salah on loan, Redknapp responded, “Of course I’d take him! But he’s not available,” adding that he had not been in contact with Chelsea over a temporary move.

“I don’t think Chelsea would loan him, I’ve never asked for him. I’ve never thought about him until it was mentioned now.”

Redknapp appears to be ruling out the move, but his need for goals still remains. QPR have been linked with Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe and Rickie Lambert in recent weeks, all of whom would add much needed experience and firepower in the race to avoid relegation.
