Reina urges De Gea to reject Madrid move

Pepe Reina has urged David De Gea to stay at Man United. De Gea has been the subject of serious interest from Real Madrid over the past few months.

Several reports have linked him with a summer exit from Old Trafford but ex-Liverpool keeper Reina believes the 24-year old should stay in Manchester. He told talkSport:

“He is one of the top goalkeepers in Europe and this year he has been superb. Maybe Real Madrid are looking for a goalkeeper and De Gea is one of the names suggested, but I think he should be happy enough to play for Man United.”

De Gea has been a key part of Man United’s squad this year and he would be a huge loss to the club if he was to leave for Spain. However, on the back of this advice from Reina, the Spaniard might have to think twice about making a move away.
