Reds to play in Audi Cup in Germany
Liverpool will take place in the 2017 Audi Cup in Germany this summer, hosted by Bayern Munich.
The Reds will join Bayern, along with Atletico Madrid and AC Milan, for two days of football at the beginning of August at the Allianz Arena.
Talks regarding their place in the Audi Cup were revealed back in March, and now their two other opponents have been finalised, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The dates for the tournament will be played on the 1st and 2nd of August, with two semi-finals on the 1st, followed by the final and 3rd place playoff on the 2nd.
The last tournament in 2015 was won by Bayern, who beat Real Madrid in the final. Tottenham took 3rd place by claiming victory over AC Milan in the playoff.
Klopp is also planning a training camp in Germany for his Liverpool players, with a friendly clash with Hertha Berlin mooted.
The manager and the team will be relishing the opportunity to compete against some of Europe’s strongest teams, including Champions League semi-finalists and finalists last year, Atletico Madrid.
