After being shortlisted for the Fifa Ballon d’Or, which will be announced in less than a month, Franck Ribery has yet another personal achievemnt to add to his already impressive collection this season.
The Frenchman beat paul Pogba of Juventus and Blaise Matuidi of PSG to claim the award, and told France Football “I now have to go get Thierry Henry’s record” as he has won the award 5 times to Ribery’s 3.
Ribery has been a success this year, picking up the treble with German giants, Bayern Munich and the UEFA best player in Europe award and has also been named in the three man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or alongisde Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
