Algerian admits he’d be stupid to leave King Power Stadium

Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez has admitted he would be stupid to leave the King Power Stadium in January.

The Algerian winger has been linked with a transfer to Arsenal and Manchester United in the New Year, but he has poured cold water over the speculation by confirming he won’t be leaving.

Mahrez has been in stunning form for the Foxes so far this season, scoring 13 goals and assisting a further six, and because of his incredible form, he’s been linked with a ÂŁ29million move to one of the Premier League big-boys.

However, Mahrez has dealt both Arsenal and United a serious transfer blow by saying he would be stupid to leave Claudio Ranieri‘s side.

Mahrez Doesn’t Want Move

“I do not think that I am going to leave because I feel very good here,” the Algeria international said. “Of course it is sure that there are noises.

“It is good to have clubs that are interested in you, but I feel very good at Leicester and it would be stupid to leave in January, especially because we are in first position.”
