Roberto Mancini has claimed that the Liverpool manager should have his salary doubled for coping with Mario Balotelli.
Mancini of course, managed the controversial striker whilst they were both at Manchester City, the relationship between the pair had plenty of ups and downs before the striker was sold to AC Milan in 2013.
The Italian international has since returned to the Premier League in a £16m move to Liverpool, but has so far failed to impress, notching up just 2 goals.
Mancini told the Corriere della Sera: “As for his head, well…he does have to find that. After leaving City he become weaker in every aspect of the game.”
“I was convinced he could do well in Milan, but that was not the case. I have no clue what his medicine could be, but anyone coaching him should be paid double – a Balotelli idemnity.
Although after everything, Mancini does seem to still have a soft spot for the striker.
“At City, he was well behaved for two-and-a-half years. With Mario it’s never easy – what you tell him goes through one ear and out from the next. But I owe him gratitude.” he added
