Could Chelsea make a sensational approach to replace Jose Mourinho with Brendan Rodgers to the end of the season?
One story which has certainly come out the blue is the rumour of Brendan Rodgers returning to Stamford Bridge. The former assistant coach could well replace Mourinho until the end of the season. Chelsea are thought to be waiting for Diego Simeone who is available in the summer.
Rodgers experience of the club could well be the catalyst to spark The Champions revival. Rodgers was sacked following a draw against Everton earlier in the season after a frustrating spell at Anfield. Rodgers guided Liverpool to their best finish in years finishing second in the 2012-2013 season.
