Romelu Lukaku wants to leave Chelsea permanently next summer.

The 30-year-old striker joined AS Roma on a season-long loan deal and has been outstanding for the Serie A side so far.

The Belgian international has bagged nine goals in 13 appearances across all competitions and getting back his career on track with Jose Mourinho’s side.

Lukaku seems to have regained his confidence and sharpness at the Italian club and his recent form has compelled Roma to contemplate a permanent transfer.

The striker has failed to live up to the expectations at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea paid an enormous fee for the Belgian striker.

Chelsea will definitely be unable to recoup that money and will need to cut their losses on the player.

He is still at the peak of his career and he could be an important player for Roma in the coming seasons.

A move to Roma seems an ideal option for both parties and it remains to be seen whether both clubs can come to an agreement on a reasonable fee.

The Italian outfit won’t be able to afford him unless Chelsea are ready to offload the striker in a bargain.
