Cristiano Ronaldo might be a doubt for the match against Ajax, says Massimiliano Allegri.

The Portuguese star picked up an injury in the match against Serbia in the Euro 2020 qualifiers as he was forced off the pitch.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has said that Cristiano Ronaldo might be doubtful to face Ajax in the Champions League quarter-final matchup after the Portuguese superstar was forced off the pitch with an apparent injury during the Euro 2020 qualifier match against Serbia. The former Real Madrid forward scored a hat-trick to almost single-handedly decimate Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the round of 16 match, overturning a 2-0 deficit from the first leg of the matchup.

Speaking on the Juventus talisman’s injury, the Italian gaffer said, “It’s best if he misses one game rather than two months of the season. We’re heading into the final stages of the season and there’s not much time to recover, and we’ve still got two Champions League games to play.”

He added, “Ronaldo will return when there is no longer any risk of a setback. He’ll undergo tests on Monday and we’ll take it from there. Obviously he’s a doubt for the first leg, and Cristiano knows full well that if he’s not fit, he won’t play because we cannot risk the season in just one game.”
